Crimes of Violence

Crimes of violence include willful battery, battery causing injury, assault with a weapon, and assault causing injury. When acts of violence are committed against a current or former spouse or cohabitant, a charge of domestic violence may be pursued. In each case, the prosecution must prove beyond a reasonable doubt that an accused person did NOT act in legal self defense or in legal defense of another person. Mr. Hanley has successfully represented hundreds of persons accused of assault, battery, and domestic violence.  He will not hesitate to press the DA to trial, or reach a speedy and beneficial settlement.
